Product Profile
Product Name CD79A Antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Antigen Alias B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein alpha chain, Ig-alpha, MB-1 membrane glycoprotein, Membrane-bound immunoglobulin-associated protein, Surface IgM-associated protein, CD79a, CD79A, IGA, MB1
Product description The B lymphocyte antigen receptor is a multimeric complex that includes the antigen-specific component, surface immunoglobulin (Ig). Surface Ig non-covalently associates with two other proteins, Ig-alpha and Ig-beta, which are necessary for expression and function of the B-cell antigen receptor. This gene encodes the Ig-alpha protein of the B-cell antigen component. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.1) Bailey, S.D., et al. Diabetes Care 33(10):2250-2253(2010)
Immunogen This CD79A antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 122-149 amino acids from the Central region of human CD79A.
